Ranch Style Salad Dressing

The always versatile ranch dressing! You already know what to use it for: as a salad dressing, to dip, or whatever you like.
This is a quick one after you have the ingredients and do a little chopping. Give them a little mix and you’re set.
Also works great as a wash before dredging chicken tenders or fish n’ chips!

What I enjoy in this recipe is the little bit of red wine vinegar that gives a little more depth and a bit of a sour kick! At the same time, it’s good for our health in several ways. Red wine vinegar has powerful antioxidants like resveratrol you find in red wine. Antioxidants like that and the anthocyanins help our bodies function better and keep it, and our skin, from aging.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cups GFCF sour cream
  • 3/4 cups GFCF mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup GFCF milk
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp chives
  • 2 tsp shallot
  • 1 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp celery seeds
  • *Optional, 1-2 tsp French or Italian herb blend

Preparation:

  • Mince garlic or mash into a paste with a mortar and pestle (paste infuses better!)
  • Mince chives and shallots
  • Add all the ingredients to a bowl and whisk well
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour, allowing the flavors to blend
  • If the dressing is too thick, thin with water or GFCF milk to desired consistency
  • Makes 1 pint.
